Even in the Couperusbuurt improvements are possible.
Projects are currently underway to reduce these problems.
You can think of Handhaving, police, municipality, housing association, residents' committee and residents.
To show everything on one page.
Below is a top-11 list of things that residents encounter and are sometimes also the cause (in random order):
- Litter on the street
- Food waste dumped from parked cars
- Nuisance due to nitrous oxide cartridges and "party" balloons
- Dogs not on a leash and stray cats
- Dog and cat poo lying around
- Waste next to the containers
- Residents who dump the pavement full of new waste immediately after collection has finished
- Noise pollution from weekly parties
- Noise nuisance by "visitors" Gerbrandy Park
- Cars tearing through the streets way too fast
- Company vans that fill our underground containers with industrial waste after working hours
As mentioned before, there are ongoing projects.
For example, near Plein 40-45, the municipality has created gardens around the underground containers. It is cheerful and immediately indicates that it is not the OK to put garbage next to the container.
Handhaving is increasingly strict and frequently sends a "payment request" to people who still do not want to do it the right way.
The police are also increasingly visible in the neighborhood and certainly not only between 9 and 5. And Stadgenoot makes it clear to residents that poo does not belong in the inner gardens.
More and more residents are actively cleaning up litter (in Dutch) they come across and are even actively looking for it. The so-called "pricking".
And not to forget that there are residents who adopt an underground container from the municipality. They voluntarily keep track of the status of the container and take action if it is full or defective.
These two active resident groups in particular are very important to our neighborhood and deserve our respect and appreciation.
And did you know that the municipality can also be reached via the BuitenBeter App and via WhatsApp (06-44440655) ?
Is something broken on the street, is there garbage next to the container or is it full? You can quickly forward all things that you would normally call to 14020 via the App to the municipality.
Don't have a mobile phone with internet? Then you still call 14020. Please note that the employee gives you a notification number or asks for your email address. Only then can you be sure that the report has also been processed correctly. And you can always request the status or settlement.
